The idea of achieving a synergetic effect from the integration of the coal mining and power supply business has been fundamental for ОАО SUEK from the very beginning of its activity. While building the vertically-integrated fuel and power supply company, we, in the first place, have concentrated on the power grid systems that use coal as main fuel. SUEK has stated these priorities  becoming a major shareholder in ОАО Kuzbassenergo (TGK-12) and ОАО Eniseyskaya TGC (TGK-13). Developing the fuel and power supply integration model within the framework of SUEK, we base our considerations on high prospectivity of the coal-based power generation development, both in our country and worldwide. This technology changes rapidly, becoming more and more efficient and ecologically compatible. These positive changes will get coal-based power generation to become one of the fundamental elements in the electric power generation industry of the XXI century.
